fix Duplicate Meta Description Error In Google Webmaster Tools

This is a Blogger Fix post about crawling error issue on blogger blogspot which was giving troubles for many blogger users.Google Webmaster tools will show you if you have duplicate meta description error for blogger homepage and also individual pages. This is happen when you are using mobile version of your blog along with desktop version. This doubling occurrence of meta tags for description appeared when blogger introduced search preferences last year that offered blogger users to insert dynamic description for every post they publish. You can find it this option inside blogger post editor named with Search Description and you can add any description to the specific post.

Now i am going to show you how to fix this problem in blogger's blog, so without wasting more time lets do it .

How to Fix Duplicate Meta Description Error for Blogger?

1. Go to Blogger Dashboard > Template > Edit HTML (backup your template).

2. Press Ctrl+F on your keyboard.

3. Find the following code on your blogger template

NOTE : If you can’t found above code, then you may simply copy the below code and paste it just after <head> tag.

4. Now just replace above code with the below codes

<b:if cond='data:blog.metaDescription != ""'>
<meta expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription' name='description'/>

5. Now save your template.

After you done all above steps then simply visit your site or any post on your site and check the source code of your page by pressing CTRL+U. Now you can see only one occurrence of meta description on all your blog post. If you done it successfully then let us know in comments section.

If your blog is highly and well optimized for Adsense then you can earn many bucks, ii not, then you will be frustrated and you have lots of questions in your mind , specially "why my blog or site gain no money from Adsense ? "and Off- course you have lots of traffic. Every new blogger or beginner has this issue because they are new with Adsense. I have optimized Adsense for my site after reading so many articles and took some precious advices from my friends, but still its not well optimized. If your AdSense ads are receiving very few clicks or if the CPC is tool low there, I have come up with some tips which will surely help you in improving your AdSense earnings by making adjustments to ads on your blog.

What is Adsense CTR :

CTR stands for Click Though rate. In simple words it mean number of times an advertisement is clicked divided by number of time advertisement, ad unit or the page containing advertisement is viewed.It has some cons also which are mostly not understood by publishers. If the placement of ads on your blog isn't good, then they will receive very few clicks and as a result, your earnings will stay low.

To improve your ads CTR, I am going to show you some ad placements, its working perfectly for me and will surely work for you too.

Below post title :

I suggest you to add a ad unit of 336×280 at top of the post content and wrap it with text by one side. If you are using WordPress,then use a highly recommended plugin "quick adsense " for inserting ads. If you are using blogger platform then use a div in css and place ad unit either left side or right side of the post content. This is the first recommended position which will perform very efficiently to increase CTR in your Adsense ads.

Below the post :

This is the second best position which performs well for earning money with adsense . Place a 300×250 ad unit just below post content (above comments section). When your visitors finish reading your post, the ad may attract their attention.

A Horizontal Banner at Bottom: you all know that the Bottom section of blogs and websites is the exit point for visitors and placing an ad here greatly improves AdSense CTR. When your visitors finish reading your post, surely they will move down to comments section , and after reading or making any comments, most likely they will be leaving your blog and the bottom ad if present mostly grabs their attention as an exit point.

These were some positions where most of blogger got excellent results. You can also add ad units on sidebar, in header or also in footer section of the site.

Now i am going to show you that how to improve CPC for ads.

choose some High Paying Keywords in Content :

I suggest you to use Google’s Keyword Planner Tool that helps you in finding keywords and you can do a research there to find which keywords are paying the most. Here i must say that you must think about a topic for your next post and then go to Keyword Planner. There, do a research about your chosen topic and then sort the keywords on suggested bid. In this a way, you can find high CPC keywords. Once you compile a list of some high paying relevant keywords, use these keywords wisely in your content. It will show up high paying ads which will greatly boost your AdSense CPC.

Optimize CTR :

I have mentioned earlier that CTR has a indirectly impacts on your earnings. When your ads receive too many impressions but very few clicks, then AdSense apply smart pricing over your account and CPC falls down. So to maintain a good CPC, improve CTR by placing ads perfectly like I have recommended above.

Geographically optimization :

The most important factor in defining AdSense CPC is the geographical location of your visitor from where the click was originated. If you you are running a localized blog so you may be targeting local visitors only, and if you are running an international blog or website, try to bring visitors from around the world by improving SERP rankings of your content globally.

Avoid any kind of Link Ads :

I suggest you to avoid Link ads , ads receive too many impressions but CPC with these type of ads is not that good. you can not earn too much, but they can invite Google to smart price your account.

Always write a lengthy post :

If your post has more text content and your post have some promoted keywords, then Adsense shows more relevant ads which earn you good. If your posts are short, then Google may fail to understand about what you have written. In these situations, Adsense shows random ads which will decrease both CTR and CPC.

NOTE: If you haven’t started your blog yet, then you should choose niche wisely for your site, because Some niches pay very high. If you have already started your blog, then you might not need to consider it.
